Cool Oat Crunchies

Nice on a hot day or for that teething puppy!
1 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons melted margarine
2 tablespoons molasses
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1/2 cup dried cherries (if your dog doesn't like dried cherries, try dried apples, mangos, etc.)
2 cups cheerios
  • Combine peanut butter, margarine, and molasses in a large bowl.
  • Stir in yeast and cherries.
  • Add cereal and stir gently but thoroughly.
  • If mixture is too sticky, add a bit of flour.
  • Roll into little balls (flatten a bit if you are concerned your dog might choke on round items).
  • Place balls on cookie sheets covered in waxed paper.
  • Refrigerate till firm.
  • When firm balls may be removed from sheets and stored in tupperware in the fridge.
